Hello, I'm Casimir, seasoned motion designer and Rive convert

Been doing pro motion design and animation with After Effects for almost 15 years (as well as some hobbyist Unity/game dev tinkering).

Rive has made me feel about After Effects the way Figma made me feel about Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign. FINALLY, there seems to be a genuine new solution to so many of the ways motion design has felt limited in the AE workflow for decades.

I am loving the state machine/interactive capabilities, and the way Rive separates out the design side from the animation side, while tricky at first, became intuitive and obvious after a short amount of time.

I'm excited to see how Rive grows and develops in the near future and plan to really put it through its paces with my motion work.

yup. I love Rive too and I think it's the first solution which actually fills the void that disapearance of Flash left us with. However, as a programmer, I'd also would love to be able to code interactions and animations.

You definitely can at runtime! See our runtime page.

Definitely planning on adding scripting to the editor in the future.
